Z.N. Hurston was an American author of short stories and four novels. She is most known for as Their Eyes Were Watching God. She was also a folklorist and anthropologist.

An American author, Mertz has published under three names. She wrote her Georgetown trilogy as well as stand alone Gothic and supernatural novels as Barbara Michaels and writes the Amelia Peabody series and other mystery series as Elizabeth Peters. She uses Barbara Mertz, her actual name, for non-fiction work.

George Raymond Richard Martin is an author of fantasy, horror, and science fiction.  He is most known for his best selling epic fantasy series,  A Song of Ice and Fire.  Game of Thrones, Book 1, has been adapted into a HBO series.
