E. B. White (July 11, 1899 – October 1, 1985)

Elwyn Brooks White was a  The New Yorker magazine long-standing contributor. He’s famous for Charlotte’s Web and Stuart Little but he wrote for Adults as well as Children, fiction, non-fiction and poetry

    I thought E.B. White was female. I have fond memories of Mrs. Nelson reading Charlotte’s Web to us in the 3rd grade. She was good at changing her voice for the different animals. (I like the quote you posted too.)
